What do you think should be the punishment for students who cheat in this class?
I would punish him or her to get 0 grade, and tell his or her parents .
Should they be allowed a second chance to “fix” their mistakes? If so, what can they do to fix their earlier mistakes?
I think they can be allowed a second chance. Because everyone may do some mistakes, they need chance to fix it. I will ask he or she why he or she do that, and tell he or she it's not right to cheating.

Hmm, but if you already give the student a zero, how do they get a second chance?
Maybe you can think another ways to solve the problem. Or choose one of them.
